Community Need

According to a recent HUD report, Arizona’s current Fair Market Rent for a two-bedroom apartment is $908. With the rising cost of essentials, many single-parents must work two jobs in order to provide for their family and make rent. The lack of affordable housing has been linked to the number of homeless families in the community as many community organizations struggle to find permanent affordable housing for families transitioning out of their temporary housing programs.

Our Mixed Income Housing Program

LCSA understands this community need and currently owns a total of 76 units that include single-family homes, duplexes and larger multi-complexes to accommodate families transitioning out of shelters and transitional housing programs. LCSA also has a limited number of units for single individuals on a fixed income such as Social Security benefits. The majority of our tenants are between 50% and 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), and monthly rents are considerably less than market rates.

The Mixed Income Housing Program has an extensive wait list. It can take over 3 years for housing to become available.
